Autism Travel Club & AbleVu

The Autism Travel Club is dedicated to promoting understanding, acceptance, and inclusion for individuals with autism and their families. Through our innovative Autism Travel Club and Autism Traveler app, we connect families with a growing network of Autism Ready and supportive businesses, providing them with the tools and resources they need to embark on enriching, family-oriented experiences with confidence. Our mission is to revolutionize the travel experience for individuals with autism, making every journey accessible, inclusive, and empowering. Together, we are creating a supportive network and a world of opportunities for those living with autism, putting autism on the map.

For more than a decade, I've worked to help people feel seen, understood, and supported. What began as a mission to improve the lives of individuals and families living with autism has grown into a broader vision: making accessibility easier to understand for everyone. Through speaking, writing, Autism Travel Club, and my work with AbleVu, I'm helping create a world where people can move forward with confidence because they know what to expect before they go.

Making the unknown known.

Sometimes the "unknown" is a person whose needs haven't been understood.

Sometimes it's a place people aren't sure they can visit.

Sometimes it's the uncertainty that keeps someone from saying yes to an opportunity.

My life's work is helping people replace uncertainty with understanding—because when we know more, we include more, and everyone moves forward with confidence.

Speaking

By fostering relationships and educating the public, business, civic, and community leaders worldwide through speaking engagements and the autism readiness training, I aim to create economic opportunities and promote a culture of inclusion and belonging for those affected by autism. I engage with Destination Marketing Organizations, Travel Associations, and Chambers of Commerce to raise awareness about the needs of people and families living with autism, helping to build communities of understanding.

CAN began as a concept in 2013 and incorporated as a nonprofit in April 2016.  Achieving the mission of spreading autism awareness, the organization ceased operations in August of 2026.  The genesis of the innovative Autism Friendly Travel program (formerly known as The CAN Card), CAN strivesd to educate the public and businesses in Horry and Georgetown Counties and along the coast of South Carolina about autism.  CAN curated sensory friendly events and environments so the person with autism and their family could confidently come out and play and have a traditional family experience, modified for the person with autism.
